I'd been eyeing Kotobuki for awhile, but never got the chance to go in. However after learning about their lunch special and an intense craving for Japanese food, I finally got to try it out. It was relatively empty when we went in, but the place was bright and clean looking.
After we ordered our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary miso soup and salad that was served! Both portions were just enough to satiate our stomachs as we waited for our meal.

After we finished our soup and salad, our entrees were served!
Donburi Oyakodon ($11) (Rice bowl topped with egg and chicken) |
Sashimi ($14) A great deal that consisted of various types of sashimi (raw fish), salmon carpaccio, and a roll. |
Another pleasant surprise! At the end of our meal, the waitress came and gave each of us a Kotobuki mug of our own. I'm not sure if this is a daily occurrence or if it was a special occasion, but it was a wonderful way to leave us with a great impression of the restaurant.
